     Nicholas was born in 1611. He was the son of Christopher Davison and (?) (?). He married Joanna Hodges. Nicholas died in 1664. Nicholas's will was probated on 11 July 1664. He left lands in Boston, Charleston, Pennequid, and 21,000 acres near Windsor on both side of the Connecticut River. The will named his wife, two children, and his brother John.
     He resided at Charlestown, MA, in 1639. He resided at England in 1655. He resided at MA in 1657.

      He was admitted as a member of Gray's Inn in 1597.

In March 1609/10 he petitioned Parliament in regard to his father's will. He proposed to pay all his father's debts and have transferred to him the official positions of his father under King James. We do not know the outcome.

In 1617 he was chosen Secretary of the Virginia Company in London.

He was sent to Jamestown as Secretary of the Virginia Colony 13 June 1621.

     William was honored in 1586.¹ He made a will on 8 December 1608. He reputedly was of Scottish ancestry. He was on the commission to try Mary, Queen of Scots, but was not present at the trial and did not sign the sentence. He served as Secretary of State for Queen Elizabeth. Under King James he was Clerk of the Treasury and Warrants and Custo Brevium of the King's Bench for the term of his national life.

He was a handsome man with grave expression of countenance and possessed a fine voice. His temper was peculiarly mild and beningn, his manner urbane and persuasive. He was described as the sweetest man living.

     Katherine Spellman was the daughter of Francis Spellman and Mary Hill. She married William Davison circa 1570.

      He was a published poet and never interested in his father's affairs. In 1593 he was admitted as a member to Gray's Inn. the 27th of May 1595 he obtained the Queen's license to travel for three years with his tutor Edward Smyth MA. There are letters from Venice asking for money. He received L100 and year although he asked for L200. (Harl MSS 296f114) from Lucca 6 Nov 1596 (Ayscough's MSS 4122 f 35 & 103). In the letters he assures his father that he (his father) must soon be restored to favor. He asks for an introduction to the Courts.

In 1602 he published "Poetical Rhapsody" with some poems by him, Walter, and other poets. There were four editions: 1602, 1608, 1611, and 1621.

     Thomas was born in 1670. He was the son of Daniel Davison and Margaret Low. He married Hannah Tracy at Norwich, New London, CT, on 18 November 1695.^2,3 Thomas died on 2 December 1724 at Preston, New London, CT.²
      They settled in Preston, Connecticut. He was active in town government. After the expulsion of the French in 1755 the family went to Nova Scotia in 1760. They spell the name Davisons and Davidsons.

His descendant A. H. Davison of Des Moines Iowa researched the family. In 1876 he taught a term of school 4-5 miles north of Columbus, Nebraska on the prairie anda term at first station west of Columbus then called Jackson (Cherry Hill P.O.) which is now (1980) another name.
