Harry (who never had the chance to know his mother) was interested in the then novel invention of automobiles because he spent his adulthood occupied in driving them for a living: as a driver for a "transfer company" (1910), as a driver for the Scranton Taxicab Co. (1918), and as a chauffer for a Scranton drug store (1920).³

It should be noted that in 1924 soon after the death of her husband she and her daughter Gertrude moved into the 1564 Dickson Avenue aqddress which was occupied by her sister-in-law Gertrude Stanton Pace and her family at that time.²
