[1656] The Herrick family (the ancestors of Orlo Bonner) has an
interesting tie to the Stanton family (the ancestors of Mable
Rea, Orlo's wife). The great grandson of Samuel Herrick listed
above was the minister of the First Baptist Church in
Charlestown, New York for 50 years. This man, Elijah Herrick,
was the minister who married Elisha Stanton to Sabrina Tracy
and also married their son John Stanton to Salina Vossler.
Another interesting connection is that Samuel's
great-great-nephew John Herrick was a farmer in Charlestown,
Four Corners, New York and married Charlotte Vossler a relative
of Salina's.
Those lines again are:
- Ephraim, Samuel, Ezekiel, John, John, John, Caroline married
Bonner.
- Ephraim, Samuel, Stephen, Elijah, Elijah was the minister.
- Ephraim, Stephen, Edward, Ebenezer, John the farmer.
