husband Benjamin. Her father was a Captain in the U.S. Navy.
The book "The Pioneers of Utica" characterized her as tall,
vigorous, and truly noble character, straight forward and
independent. After their removal to Geneva, and when her
husband had lost his eyesight, she contributed in various ways
to their support.
