[1827] He was a published poet and never interested in his father's
affairs. In 1593 he was admitted as a member to Gray's Inn. the
27th of May 1595 he obtained the Queen's license to travel for
three years with his tutor Edward Smyth MA. There are letters
from Venice asking for money. He received L100 and year
although he asked for L200. (Harl MSS 296f114) from Lucca 6 Nov
1596 (Ayscough's MSS 4122 f 35 & 103). In the letters he
assures his father that he (his father) must soon be restored
to favor. He asks for an introduction to the Courts.
In 1602 he published "Poetical Rhapsody" with some poems by
him, Walter, and other poets. There were four editions: 1602,
1608, 1611, and 1621.

[1694] The birth certificate for her son Ernest Edward Bonner
indicates she was born in 1857 in Illinois.
[1696] Her obituary appeared in the "Osceola Record" on May 14, 1944.
"Early Osceola Resident Buried Here"
"Funeral servies for Mrs. Ida May Bonner, 86, who dies Friday
at Loveland, Colo., were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First
Methodist church in Columbus. Burial was made in the Osceola
cemetery."
"She was born Ida May Davison, Marh 7, 1858 at Homer, Ill., and
came with her parents to Nebraska in the fall of 1871 in a
covered wagon and located on a homestead near Stromsburg."
"On Jan. 1, 1878, she married James T. Bonner and they moved to
Osceola where Mr .Bonner owned a furniture and undertaking
establishment. In 1893 they moved to a farm in the Plattte
valley, 14 miles southwest of Columbus and in 1901 moved to the
Clear Creek mill, five miles south of Columbus where they
resided until 1916 when they moved to Columbus."
"Mrs. Bonner was united with the Methodist church in 1904,
being a faithful member for 40 years."
"Mr. Bonner died in November 1920."
"She is survived by eight children, W. D. Bonner of Salt Lake
City, Mrs. E. V. Price of Compton, California; Mrs. Bessie
Adkins of Loveland; Ernest E. Bonner of Prosser, Wash., Mahlon
D. Bonner of Columbus, Mrs. Anna Harrold Tacoma Wash., and Mrs.
M. A. of Slaem, Ore., James T. Bonner of Ayers of Columbus; 25
grandchildren (seven of her gandsons are serving in the armed
forces); and 25 great grandchildren."
"Those who came here to attend the funeral were: Mrs. E. V.
Price from Compton, Calif., Mrs. Morris Marshall of Eddyville
Mrs. Besie Adkins of Loveland, Colo., who acccmpanied (sic) the
body here and Mahlon Bonner of Columbus."
