where he was known as Capt. Phineas. He served as Captain in
the Cape Breton campaign of the War with the French in 1745 and
in the Crown Point campaign of 1755. in 1758 he was
Quarter-Master. From 1760-1771 he was a Deputy from Stonington,
Connecticut. He was a member of the General Assembly of
Connecticut 1779-1780.
