[737] He was a sailor until he was 23 years old. A few years after
his marriage he entered the ministry of the M.E. Church and was
in 1887 pastor at Cayuga, NY. When he retired, he bought an
orange grove in Florida and took all his family, except for the
oldest Celia who was married. So most of his descendants are in
Florida.
