[771] He was a sailor until he was 23 years old. A few years after
his marriage he entered the ministry of the M.E. Church and was
in 1887 pastor at Cayuga, NY. When he retired, he bought an
orange grove in Florida and took all his family, except for the
oldest Celia who was married. So most of his descendants are in
Florida.

[948] Reuben was a Baptist minister in Stonington, Conn. He took up a
farm on the manorial land of the Rensselaer estate at South
Westerlo, Albany Co., NY, Oct 2, 1787. He is said to have lived
in Dutchess Co., when he first moved to New York. His final
home in New York was at Stanton Hill, Coeymans Township, Albany
Co. The post-office was probably Westerlo or South Westerlo.
[949] William Stanton indicates that he died at Stanton Hill,
Coeymans Township, Albany, Co., NY and also says it was at
Westerlo, Albany Co., NY.
